The joining of Hamza Abdel Karim to the group training of the first team comes at a sensitive time, as coach Hans Flick seeks to build a homogeneous squad capable of competing in all tournaments. According to sources close to the club, the young player showed high tactical discipline and the ability to adapt to the requirements of fast play imposed by the German coach, who is famous for his attention to detail and high pressure.
During the last training session, Flick focused on the physical aspect and speed of moving the ball, which is consistent with the capabilities of Hamza, who is characterized by speed and intelligence in movement. The assistant coach praised the young group that joined recently, considering that the presence of players like Hamza enhances the team’s depth and gives greater options in the midfield.
The technical staff works to prepare the players physically and technically, focusing on the tactical aspect that distinguishes Flick’s method, which relies on possession and intense pressure. Barcelona fans hope to see new faces emerge this season, such as Hamza Abdel Karim, who has begun to take his first steps strongly.
In the friendly match between Barcelona and Europe, the Catalan team succeeded in providing a good performance, despite the absence of some international stars. The match ended with Barcelona winning 3-1, with goals scored by Ferran Torres, Robert Lewandowski and Pedri, while Europe's only goal was scored via a penalty kick.
This victory is considered a positive step in the team’s preparations for the new season, especially with the return of young players to the forefront. A source inside the club said: “Hamza has a promising future, and Flick admires his determination and desire to learn.”
Hamza's participation was not limited to the offensive side only, but he showed a remarkable defensive commitment, as he retreated to cover empty spaces and helped build counterattacks. Barcelona continues its intensive preparations under the leadership of Hans Flick, as the team is scheduled to play several other friendly matches in the coming days, to test the players’ readiness before the start of the La Liga and Champions League competitions. It is expected that Hamza Abdel Karim will get more opportunities in the upcoming matches, especially in light of the injuries suffered by some midfielders.
This early preparation comes within the framework of Flick's ambitious vision, which seeks to return Barcelona to the podium locally and continentally. The German coach relies on a combination of experience and youth, which explains why he gives the opportunity to up-and-coming players such as Hamza Abdel Karim, who is only 20 years old, but possesses technical maturity beyond his age.
A sports analyst close to the club said: “Hamza Abdel Karim has all the ingredients to become one of the surprises of the season. His speed, smart passes, and ability to read tactically make him a perfect fit for Flick’s style.”
